Spies don't get fired, they get burned.

Burn Notice is an American action/adventure series that premiered in June of 2007.




The Plot:
Michael Westen an international spy who suddenly finds himself blacklisted. Dumped in his home town of Miami without money or resources, Michael struggles to put his life back together and find out why he's been burned.

In the meantime, he uses his unique skills and training to help people in need ... mostly people who can't get help from the police.
Michael is joined by Fiona an ex-IRA operative, who also happens to be an ex-girlfriend; and Sam , a washed-out military intelligence contact who's being used by the Feds to keep tabs on Michael.

He's also forced to confront the family he went halfway around the world to get away from - particularly his mother, Madeline who couldn't be happier to have her son back in town.

Season 1



1. Pilot   
Michael Westen is a spy who receives a "burn notice" while on assignment. Spies are not fired, rather they are issued a burn notice to let the agent know their services are no longer required.
Penniless, Michael returns to his roots in Miami where he freelances his skills to earn money. First up, Michael helps a man clear his name after valuable pieces of art and jewellery are stolen.

2. Identity   
Michael helps Madeline's friend retrieve money from a swindler, and in return he receives information about some visitors that came to his mother's home.

3. Fight or Flight   
A drug dealer is witnessed brutally beating up a man by a single mother. Oleg asks Michael to help the woman, Cara, his best waitress after she stops showing up for work.

4. Old Friends   
Michael's friend, Bill, asks for the spy's help in freeing his daughter from a prostitution ring. Meanwhile, Michael dodges multiple assassination attempts.

5. Family Business   
Michael infiltrates a family of gunrunners who are pressuring an airport supervisor and his pregnant wife. The FBI begin to put pressure on Sam to gather more information on Michael.

6. Unpaid Debts   
Michael discovers a surprise aboard a boat he has retrieved from Jamaican gangsters. Meanwhile, a CSS agent urges Michael to stop his investigation into who burned him.

7. Broken Rules   
Michael poses as a thief and infiltrates a crime gang that's terrorizing a merchant.

8. Wanted Man   
Michael helps Fiona track down a jewel thief as she believes the alleged thief is innocent.

9. Hard Bargain   
A man's fiancée is kidnapped from the house he is looking after. Meanwhile, Michael is offered information on how he can clear his burn notice.

10. False Flag   
Michael is hired to track down a woman's estranged husband, who has disappeared with their son. Michael soon finds himself pitted against somebody just as skilled and dangerous as he is.

11. Dead Drop (1)   
Sam takes on a case for a woman named Gillian, who is being blackmailed into using her security clearance to help smuggle heroin into the United States. Meanwhile, Michael is busy trying to arrange a meeting with Philip Cowan.

12. Loose Ends (2)   
Michael must rescue Sam from heroin smugglers, who happen to be ex-Special Forces, while also evading agents who are out to get him.

Season 2



1. Breaking and Entering   
Having been recruited by the people who burned him, Michael's new handler, Carla, tasks him with helping a computer tech, Jimmy, whose wife and daughter were kidnapped, liberate some information that is guarded by bowelless mercenaries.

2. Turn and Burn   
At Sam's request, Michael helps a waitress named Sophia who is being stalked. However, Sam and Michael later learn that Sophia is not who she claims to be.

3. Trust Me    
Andy, a cell-phone salesman, was conned into investing in a fake Cuban nightclub. Michael helps Andy when the people he borrowed the money from (loan sharks) come knocking.

4. Comrades    
Introduced by Nate, Michael helps a Russian woman, Katya, whose sister was smuggled into the U.S. by gangsters; however, Katya cannot afford their extortionate demands and her sister is being held captive.

5. Scatter Point   
Michael is hired by Trevor, a former "wheelman" who's gone straight. However, Trevor is being pressured into working an upcoming jewel heist by his old boss, Timo, and fears for his family's safety.

6. Bad Blood     
One of Carla's men, Victor, recruits Michael to participate in a hijacking.

7. Rough Seas   
Michael is hired to track down nearly a million dollars worth of pharmaceuticals that were stolen by thieves on their way to Tanzania.

8. Double Booked    
An associate from Michael's past hires him to assassinate a woman named Jeannie.

9. Good Soldier
Hired by Fiona's boyfriend's friend Henry, Michael poses as a disgruntled bodyguard to thwart a kidnapping plot masterminded by a ruthless man named Lesher.

10. Do No Harm
Michael prevents a man from committing suicide, whose son suffers from a heart condition. He had lost his savings in a scam after investing in a "miracle drug" for his son, so Michael decides to get him his money back. Meanwhile, he has to deal with an explosion at his place and his brother in jail.

11. Hot Spot
In order to get free football tickets, Sam asks Michael to join him in helping Coach Sean Martin, as one of his players is threatened by a gangster. Meanwhile, Michael works on finding out who tried to kill him.

12. Seek and Destroy
Michael, under the alias of Miles Parker, is hired by Scott Chandler to investigate strange activity - log-ins at odd hours, unusual computer activity and telephone bugging - at an art gallery. But after being attacked by the the gallery's receptionist, Michael finds himself working against Chandler. Meanwhile, Michael needs to find the person who planted the bomb at his loft, therefor he turns to arms dealer Seymour for help.

13. Bad Breaks
Michael finds himself trapped inside a private bank with Jason Bly during an armed robbery. Meanwhile, Michael's predicament disrupts Sam's love life.

14. Truth and Reconciliation
Facing pressure from Sam and Fiona, Michael agrees to help bring a Haitian murderer to justice.

15. Sins of Omission
Michael's ex-fiancée seeks his help in freeing her son, who was kidnapped by a black market dealer named Brennen. Meanwhile, Michael has to get to Victor, the guy who tried to kill him.

16. Lesser Evil
Michael gets to know Victor's motivation and his connection to Carla after capturing him. When the truth about Carla's organization is revealed, everyone is put in danger.

Micheal is forced to pull off an elaborate heist for Brennen - arms dealer. Meanwhile, Michael tries to side-track Detective's Paxson's ongoing investigation into his daily activites, with a few tricks of his own.

4. 6/25/09 - Fearless Leader
Michael tries to deal with one of the city's most wanted criminals on his own in an attempt to get the police off his back; Sam must contend with an IRS agent who turns out to be the son of an ex-flame.

5. 07/09/09 - Signals and Codes
A paranoid mathematician enlists Michael's help to stop the vice president of a defense firm from selling company secrets; Michael tracks down a new contact in the intelligence community.

6. 07/16/09 - The Hunter
An operative from Michael's past is hunting him, and  Michael is forced to seek help from a prominent member of Miami's underworld for help. A man approaches Michael with an offer.

7. 07/23/09 - Shot in the Dark
Michael, Sam and Fiona help a young boy whose family is being terrorized by his abusive stepfather. Michael's new contact returns with an interesting proposition to help Michael get back into the intelligence community.

8. Friends like These - 07/30/09
Barry enlists Michael's help in tracking down his money-laundering client list, which was stolen. Fiona disagrees with Michael' s attempts to reconnect with the intelligence community.

9. Long Way Back - 08/06/09
A dangerous man from Fiona’s past resurfaces in Miami after years of hiding, with deadly intentions. Teaming up with Fiona’s ruthless brother, Michael will do whatever it takes to save her even if that means crossing a few lines.

10. Dark Road - 01/21/10
A recently widowed woman hires Michael and Fiona to help her get away from a group of violent con men, Michael turns to Madeline for help — but he may have asked her to go too far. Meanwhile, a mysterious contact goes to extreme lengths to get Michael's attention.

11. Friendly Fire - 01/28/10
When Sam gets an unexpected visit from a former Seal buddy asking for help, Michael must infiltrate a protected urban barrio and hunt down a child predator

12. Noble Causes - 02/04/10
Michael is caught off guard by a visit from his drug-dealing neighbor Sugar, who needs protection from a crew of thieves. Michael also tries to adjust to working with a new partner.

13. Partners in Crime - 02/11/10
Michael infiltrates the fashion world while investigating a theft at a chic design house. Elsewhere, Michael and Fiona cozy up to a Polish intelligence officer in order to find information on a flight carrying dangerous cargo.

14. Enemies Closer - 02/18/10
Michael is asked to steal sensitive flight information, a mission that could land him in hot water. Meanwhile, Michael's former mentor comes to town with a drug cartel tailing him

15. Good Intentions - 02/25/10
Fiona is asked for help by her old friend Coleman, so she goes undercover in a kidnapping ring. Meanwhile, Michael continues to work with Gilroy, but also tips off the FBI about him.

16. Devil you Know - 03/04/10
Michael's worst fears come to life when a world class terrorist is unleashed on Miami, threatening to detonate a bomb if Michael doesn't give him what he wants.

4. Breach of Faith - 06/24/10
The stakes became higher than expected when Michael and Sam were inadvertently dragged into a hostage situation at a local bank. Meanwhile, Fiona and Jesse track down information about a recently deceased weapons runner.

5. Neighbourhood Watch - 07/01/10
A reluctant doctor turns to Michael for help when a group of vicious drug dealers terrorize his neighborhood clinic. Along the way, Michael is drawn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a sadistic killer.

6.  Entry Point - 07/15/10
Sam and Jesse interrogate a captured contract killer in order to find out who ordered a recent assassination. Meanwhile, Michael and Fiona pose as security consultants to stop a notorious antiquities thief from stealing a priceless artifact.

Michael helps an ex-CIA operative who has become a target of Russian spies.

8. Where there's Smoke - 07/29/10
A job protecting a businessman at a house party goes awry, putting Fiona in danger and forcing Michael, Sam and Jesse to concoct a plan to save her.

9. Center of the Storm - 08/05/10
Micheal impersonates a hitman in order to protect the target who is a crucial witness to a Federal Investigation.

10. Hard Time - 08/12/10
Sam learns that a dangerous gang is targeting his old friend Juan, who is doing time in prison. With the FBI’s help, Michael breaks into prison to keep Juan safe. Michael comes face to face with an old nemesis, Simon in order to get a step closer to finding the identity of the man behind the rash of worldwide terror.

11. Blind Spot - 08/19/10
Michael finally tracks down the man behind the global wars for profit, revealing him to be John Barrett- the powerful CEO of a major communications conglomerate. In order to learn his plan, Michael and Jesse use the coded bible as bait to lure Mr. Barrett to Miami. Meanwhile, across town Sam and Fiona take the case of a widow whose bank accounts were drained by a slick talking conman, Charles. To get the client's money back, Sam and Fiona must use Charles's party habits against him to run a con of their own, and put Charles out of business for good.

12. Guilty as Charged - 08/26/10
Fiona attempts to find Jesse and convince him to meet with Michael. Meanwhile, Michael helps a criminal defense attorney rescue his daughter after she is kidnapped by one of his clients.

13. Eyes Open - 11/11/10
When a vengeful lawyer hires a paranoid bombmaker to kill off members of a local gang, Michael is forced to intervene before innocent lives are lost in the mayhem. Michael and Jesse try to track down a stolen document.

14. Hot Property - 11/18/10
Michael must work with an enemy to keep chemical weapons out of the wrong hands.

15. Brotherly Love - 12/2/2010
While Jesse and Sam go to the auction for the bible, Michael stays in Miami since Nate is visiting. Michael helps Nate with a job involving drugs and Maddie reveals a secret about Nate.

16. Dead or Alive - 12/9/2010
Sam tries to help a friend who's been deemed a dirty cop clear his name. Elsewhere, Michael plans to meet with Jesse's former handler in order to make sure government documents end up in the right hands.

17. Out of the Fire - 12/16/2010
Michael's enemy Brennen and Michael's former friend Larry team up to pressure Michael into killing some government agents.

18. Last Stand - 12/16/2010
Michael's actions cause Vaughn to come to Miami with a tactical assault team. With little hope of survival, Michael, Jesse and Fiona make their last stand in an abandoned construction site, with the list as their only leverage.

Season 5



Episode 1: Company Man
Picking up 6 months from where Season 4 left off, we follow Michael on a CIA Mission to find the last man on the list of people that burned him.

Episode 2: Bloodlines
While juggling his new CIA job with his regular life in Miami, Michael helps Sam, Fi, and Jesse search for a group of missing girls being trafficked into the United States by the Yakuza. However, things get a bit too personal for Michael when Madeline becomes a major part of the job, and puts her life in danger.

Episode 3: Mind Games
Nate returns to Miami to seek Michael's help to go after a loan shark who's harassing a widow. However, the guys soon discover that the loan shark is not all that he seems.

Episode 4: No Good Deed
Barry's brother is framed for attacking a server, so the gang track down the real hacker to clear his name.

Episode 5: Square One
Michael takes part in a CIA murder investigation. Elsewhere, the team helps a former Army sniper who's looking to avenge his sister's injury.

Episode 6: Enemy of My Enemy
The CIA abandons Sam after he goes undercover with a heroin dealer while trying to recover a weapon. Meanwhile, Michael's CIA contact continues searching for Max's killer.

Episode 7: Beseiged
Michael and Sam try to rescue an ailing boy from his father, who took the boy to a heavily armed compound. Elsewhere, Fiona and Jesse keep an eye on a day laborer who could be tied to Max's fate.

Episode 8: Hard Out
Michael and Jesse go on an extraction mission on a Caribbean island but end up trapped there by mercenaries. Meanwhile, Fiona tries to get information out of an ex by doing a favor for him.

Episode 9: Eye for an Eye
Fiona and Jesse work together for a pharmaceuticals magnate, but soon realize that he is hiding something. Meanwhile, Michael and Sam take on a bomb-maker involved in Max's death.

Episode 10: Army of One
When Jesse needs Michael's help with a security job, Michael joins a group of hijackers who wind up taking hostages at an airport.

Episode 11: Better Halves
In order to catch a bioweapons specialist, Michael and Fiona go undercover at a South American resort. In the meantime, Sam and Jesse corner Max's killer.

Episode 12: Dead to Rights
Michael tries to clear his name of Max's murder by taking drastic action. Elsewhere, Larry resurfaces and insists Michael help him with a job

Episode 13: Damned If You Do
Michael and Fiona go to Puerto Rico to kidnap a financial hacker whose software they need for Anson. However, things get complicated when some dangerous enemies are waiting for the hacker back in Miami. Meanwhile, Madeline gets some training from Sam and Jesse to be able to retrieve sensitive information from the police.

Episode 14: Breaking Point
When the life of one of Michael's childhood friends is taken by gang warfare, things get personal as he decides to team up with the victim's brother to entrap the gang in a weapons scheme.

Episode 15: Necessary Evil
Michael runs point on a CIA rescue mission which involves a scientist kidnapped by an African warlord. Meanwhile, Sam and Jesse go undercover as microchip specialists but quickly get in over their heads.

Episode 16: Depth Perception
Michael must ask Anson for help after Sam's old friend Beatriz turns up in Miami with a hitman on her trail.

Episode 17: Acceptable Loss
Michael wants to find out more about Anson's plans, but this requires the help of a former enemy. Meanwhile, an old friend contacts Jesse, asking him to help bring his diamond-smuggling employer to justice.

Episode 18: Fail Safe
In order to release Anson's hold on Fiona, Michael plans on taking him down once and for all. Meanwhile, Pearce offers Michael a special mission: leading a team of operatives to capture a spy recruiter.

Season 6



Episode 1: Scorched Earth
Michael hunts Anson through the streets of Miami in the wake of the Season 5 finale. Refusing to let Anson get away, Michael races against the clock to find him... but time may not be his only obstacle. Meanwhile, Fiona is taken into federal custody after her surrender, where she's interrogated by an old nemesis.

Episode 2: Mixed Messages
After the CIA denies his request to see Fiona, Michael calls upon his old Mentor, Tom Card.

Episode 3: Last Rites
When Agent Pearce learns the identity of her fiancée's killer, she enlists Michael's help to seek revenge. Things get complicated, however, when they discover the man is under protection as a CIA asset. Meanwhile, Fiona seeks out a well-connected prison smuggler to find out who was behind an attempt on her life.

Episode 4: Under The Gun
Sam is kidnapped during a mission in the Everglades with Michael and Jesse. Meanwhile, Fiona gets into trouble with a pair of inmates, but an ally offers assistance in exchange for a favor.

Episode 5: Split Decision
Michael takes on a gangster with help from an unlikely ally; Card offers Fiona a deal to become a CIA asset, an arrangement that would prevent her from being extradited.

Episode 6: Shock Wave
Michael gets a lead on Anson; an MI6 agent tries to prevent Fiona's release from prison; and an assassin traps Sam and Barry in a secluded beach house.

Episode 7: Reunion
Sam agrees to help his girlfriend's delinquent son, who’s in over his head with a ruthless loan shark. Meanwhile, Michael and Fiona reconnect as they search for the person who sabotaged his last mission. But in order to see the truth, Michael will need to look past his emotions first.

Episode 8: Unchained
Michael allows himself to be arrested by the FBI in order to bring down a vicious Bostonian mobster. Meanwhile, Jesse and Pearce are forced to blackmail a weapons manufacturer to get information on an important gun sale… but things don’t go as smoothly as planned.

Episode 9: Official Business
The CIA recruits Fiona to break into a guarded safe after a civilian asset winds up in over her head with a black market entrepreneur. Meanwhile, Sam and Jesse visit a mercenary training camp in hopes of finding the whereabouts of an exceptionally skilled sniper.

Episode 10: Desperate Times
The gang travel to Panama to take down an assassin, but their target discovers their plans and sets up a trap of his own. Elsewhere, Madeline grills Card for answers.

Episode 11: Desperate Measures
After finding themselves stranded in Panama, Michael and the team are forced to hijack a plane in order to get home. Before they can leave, however, Michael must first escape the clutches of a sadistic Panamanian drug-runner.

Episode 12: Means & Ends
The gang cook up a hijacking scheme in order to escape from Panama, while Michael tries to skirt a Panamanian drug runner.

Episode 13: Over The Line
Michael becomes the target of a CIA task force after he’s accused of a crime at a local hotel. Meanwhile, senior officer Olivia Riley brings Sam in for questioning, and attempts to use him to find Michael’s whereabouts.

Episode 14: Down & Out
Michael allows himself to be captured by a former Syrian intelligence officer in order to save a hapless smuggler.

Episode 15: Best Laid Plans
Michael brokers a deal selling an expensive piece of technology to a ruthless thief. But things become complicated when Sam is dragged in as part of a high stakes robbery. Meanwhile, Madeline goes to Barry to ask for a dangerous favor.

Episode 16: Odd Man Out
Michael is trapped in the crossfire after a vicious smuggler comes after a former client looking for revenge. Nowhere to run, they are forced to take refuge in a remote warehouse. Short on supplies and with the exits blocked, Michael will have to think quickly if he wants everyone to get out alive.

Episode 17: You Can Run (1)
In the Season 6 finale, Sam is shot and Jesse is captured during an ambush of the gang's escape attempt.

Season 7



Episode 1: New Deal
Fresh off entering a bargain with the CIA, Michael finds himself alone in the Dominican Republic. His mission is to infiltrate a terrorist group. Elsewhere, Sam is planning a party for Elsa, Jesse has returned to work at the security firm, and Fiona has become a bounty hunter. Westen's team is soon drawn back in via a new threat to his life.

Episode 2: Forget Me Not
Michael returns to Miami to track down someone who is trying to blow his cover; Michael is forbidden from contacting his crew.

Episode 3: Down Range
Sam and Jesse travel to the Dominican Republic to help Michael with a high-stakes trade; Fiona intervenes when a bookie tries to extort Madeline.

Episode 4: Brothers In Arms
Michael tries to learn about Burke's underground network; Fiona and Madeline must frame a corrupt Russian bureaucrat for treason.

Episode 5: Exit Plan
Michael meets a former Russian operative who now works as part of Burke’s mysterious organization. In order to get out of Cuba, they’ll have to outwit a bloodthirsty counterintelligence expert who’s locking down the island. Strong convinces Fiona to help Michael’s mission by making her an offer she can’t refuse.

Episode 6: All or Nothing
Michael and Fiona pose as hackers at a malicious programming syndicate in order to steal information for Sonya. But Michael’s life gets complicated when working with Fiona again brings back painful memories. Meanwhile, Sam and Jesse help Barry track down a former girlfriend in exchange for falsified documents.

Episode 7: Psychological Warfare
Michael finally meets with the head of the organization he’s been assigned to dismantle, but things get dicey when the leader drugs him at gunpoint in order to learn his deepest secrets. In danger of exposing his cover, Michael soon realizes that in order to protect his future... he'll have to face his past first.

Episode 8: Nature Of The Beast
Michael goes after a drug smuggler at the bidding of the organization he's trying to infiltrate. Elsewhere, Fiona, Jesse and Strong visit a mental hospital in a search for more information about James.

Episode 9: Bitter Pill
The team look for an antidote at the manufacturer's lab in order to save a poisoned Middle Eastern diplomat. Elsewhere, Madeline takes action when she suspects she's being followed.

Episode 10: Things Unseen
When Michael discovers an old friend digging up secrets that could expose his cover, he must decide just how far he will go to protect the mission. Meanwhile, Sam and Jesse are thrust in the middle of a street war involving a decade-old murder after Fiona’s boyfriend is targeted by a coldblooded gang member.

Episode 11: Tipping Point
As Michael becomes ever more conflicted with his mission, he travels to Mexico with Sonya in order to help James with an important job. Anxious to finish the operation, Strong hires freelance mercenaries to extract James on site... but brings along an unexpected guest.

Episode 12: Sea Change
Michael is forced to expose his identity to James; Fiona and Jesse fear he is in over his head.

Episode 13: Reckoning [Series Finale]
The final episode in the series finds Michael struggling to regain the trust of those whom he betrayed, while James works feverishly to bring him down.
