About Modern Family
This mockumentary explores the many different types of a modern family through the stories of a gay couple, comprised of Mitchell and Cameron, and their daighter Lily, a straight couple, comprised of Phil and Claire, and their three kids, Haley, Alex, and Luke, and a multi-ethnic couple, which is comprised of Jay and Gloria, and their son Manny. These three types of families are being taped by a Dutch documentary crew who are using them for an upcoming reality-based television series due to air in The Netherlands.

Modern Family Season 1 Epiosde Guide



Episode 1: Pilot (Sep/23/2009)
Jay has just recently married his younger, Colombian wife, Gloria, but he's having trouble keeping up with her and her son Manny. Claire is having trouble with her own family, especially with her husband Phil, who thinks he can be hip with his three kids. Also, Mitchell and his partner Cameron adopt a Vietnamese baby, Lily.

Episode 2: The Bicycle Thief (Sep/30/2009)
As Phil helps his son in showing Claire that he can be trusted with a brand new bike, Phil turns out to be the irresponsible one when he notices a hot neighbor. Meanwhile, Mitchell and Cameron bring Lily to their Mommy & Me class while Manny and Jay uncomfortably spend some father and son time together.

Episode 3: Come Fly with Me (Oct/07/2009)
Phil pushes Jay to go out with him and fly his new model plane. While Manny takes time out to play with Luke, Gloria accompanies Alex in shopping for a dress. Mitchell and Cameron goes shopping at Costco, but Mitchell feels that he is too good to shop there. Later on, Manny ends up having a heart-to-heart talk with his sister Claire.

Episode 4: The Incident (Oct/14/2009)
Dede, Claire and Mitchell's mother, stops in for a surprise visit and wants to try to make up with everyone that she offended during "the incident" that she caused at Jay and Gloria's wedding. No one is eager to see her, but everything comes into play when the whole family meets at Claire's house for dinner.

Episode 5: Coal Digger (Oct/21/2009)
The whole family is invited for some barbecue and football at Gloria and Jay's house. However, earlier at school there was an incident between Manny and Luke, making things very awkward for Claire and Gloria. Things heat up when an offensive label is uttered.

Episode 6: Run For Your Wife (Oct/28/2009)
It's the first day of school for the families. With all of the kids out of the house, Phil misreads how Claire is dealing with the empty house. Jay and Gloria have a disagreement over Manny's choice of an outfit for his first day of school. Also, Mitchell and Cameron become very upset when they find out that Lily suffered her first bump to the head.

Episode 7: En Garde (Nov/04/2009)
Manny becomes interested in fencing and the whole family comes out to cheer him on. However, with Jay being so interested in Manny's success at fencing, Mitchell's old childhood wound is triggered. Meanwhile, Phil tries to see if Luke has any hidden talents of his own.

Episode 8: Great Expectations (Nov/18/2009)
Claire has had a history of giving bad gifts. So, she decides to give Phil a surprising anniversary present, which is a private performance by Izzy LaFontaine, one of their favorite musicians. However, this unexpected gift is unexpected in more than one way. Also, Cameron and Mitchell call their party-girl friend, Sal, for a night on the town.

Episode 9: Fizbo (Nov/25/2009)
Phil and Claire throw Luke the biggest and best birthday that he could want. However, Cameron arrives as Fizbo, the clown, who triggers a chain of events that leads to someone ending up in the hospital.

Episode 10: Undeck the Halls (Dec/09/2009)
The Dunphy kids are in trouble again, but this time Claire and Phil are threatening to take Christmas away. Gloria and Manny want to incorporate some of their Colombian practices into Jay's holiday traditions, but he wants to keep it his way. Meanwhile Cameron and Mitchell take Lily to the mall for her first picture with Santa, however this Santa isn't very jolly.

Episode 11: Up All Night (Jan/06/2010)
With the arrival of Javier, Manny's unreliable father, there is tension between Gloria and Jay because of Jay's reaction towards his visit. Meanwhile, Claire has to rely on a sexy fireman in order to help Phil get to the hospital, which is due to his painful kidney stones. Elsewhere, Lily is being sleep-trained by Mitchell and Cameron, which is becoming more troublesome than they expected.

Episode 12: Not in My House (Jan/13/2010)
Claire finds a dirty picture on the computer and assumes it's was Luke, and Phil, who was guilty, doesn't correct her. Meanwhile, Jay and Gloria argue about Jay's beloved life-sized dog butler statue. Elsewhere, Mitchell is annoyed by Cameron when he becomes more interested in the gardener's troubles than his own.

Episode 13: Fifteen Percent (Jan/20/2010)
Mitchell makes Jay think that Shorty, an old friend, might be gay. Jay doesn't think it's true at first, but he begins to believe it after seeing several questionable signs. Meanwhile, Manny's date gets a makeover from Gloria. Elsewhere, Claire fights with Phil's universal remote.

Episode 14: Moon Landing (Feb/03/2010)
Claire is upset to find that her friend Valerie is better than her. In the meantime Mitchell helps Gloria with legal issues and Jay had a hard time in the locker room.

Episode 15: My Funky Valentine (Feb/10/2010)
Love is in the air and all the families are preparing for Valentine's Day. Claire and Phil are planning a special trip. Meanwhile, Jay decides to take Gloria to a comedy show for some entertainment. Also, Cameron and Mitchell try to help Manny out by playing Cupid.

Episode 16: Fears (Mar/03/2010)
When Phil and Luke go underneath the house to see what they can find, Phil is challenged to overcome his fear of the dark. Meanwhile, Mitchell and Cameron decide to have Lily's pediatrician over for something to eat.

Episode 17: Truth Be Told (Mar/10/2010)
Phil reconnects with an old high school girlfriend through Facebook and invites her over to the house, but things don't go as well as expected. Jay will stop at nothing to cover up his tracks when he accidentally kills Manny's pet turtle, and Mitchell, who feels extremely overworked, finally confronts his boss.

Episode 18: Starry Night (Mar/24/2010)
Jay and Mitchell go on their traditional father-and-son outing to see the meteor showers, but Mitchell is upset when he finds out that Manny will be joining them. Cameron and Gloria spend some quality time together, with some minor incidents, while Phil and Claire both take on one of their child's school projects.

Episode 19: Game Changer (Mar/31/2010)
It's Phil's birthday and there's a new product he wants coming out at the same time. Meanwhile, Mitchell decides to toughen up and Cameron talks to a neighbor about marital problems, but he gets too involved with the neighbor's stories.

Episode 20: Benched (Apr/14/2010)
During an intense basketball game, Luke and Manny's coach quits, which leads to Jay and Phil stepping in to help out. Meanwhile, Mitchell helps Cameron find a prospective employer.

Episode 21: Travels With Scout (Apr/28/2010)
Phil's father shows up for a visit with an RV and a dog, making Claire believe that he is hiding a more serious reason for coming. Meanwhile, Cameron fills in as a drummer for Dylan's band and Jay and Gloria take Manny to a horror movie that traumatizes him.

Episode 22: Airport 2010 (May/05/2010)
Gloria surprises Jay with a trip to Hawaii for his birthday, but he isn't pleased to find out that the entire family is tagging along. When everyone arrives at the airport, chaos ensues with forgotten identification, breeches of security, and flying phobias.

Episode 23: Hawaii (May/12/2010)
Jay's plans to do nothing but relax on vacation are interrupted by an unwelcome reality check. Meanwhile, Phil tries to make the trip romantic for Claire, Mitchell and Cameron disagree on whether they should go sight-seeing, and the kids get themselves into trouble.

Episode 24: Family Portrait (May/19/2010)
Claire makes an effort to take a new family portrait, but everybody is too busy to cooperate: Gloria and Manny go with Phil and Alex to a Lakers game and share an awkward moment on the jumbotron, Cameron gets a job as a wedding singer while Mitchell takes care of Lilly and a stray pigeon, and Luke interviews Jay for a school project.

Modern Family Season 2 Epiosde Guide



Episode 1: The Old Wagon (Sep/22/2010)
Claire finally convinces Phil that it's time to get rid of their old station wagon, and it prompts everybody to take a trip down memory lane. Meanwhile, Mitchell decides to build Lily a life-size princess castle and Manny invites a cute girl over to study, which doesn't sit well with Gloria.

Episode 2: The Kiss (Sep/29/2010)
When she finds out that Alex is interested in a boy, Claire becomes over-protective, while Haley tries to give her sister advice. Meanwhile, Gloria begins to cook more traditional Colombian food in honor of her late grandmother, which is received in jest by Jay, and Mitchell reveals his aversion to PDA.

Episode 3: Earthquake (Oct/06/2010)
After an earthquake hits the town, Claire gets stuck with the plumber in the bathroom. Meanwhile, when going out with Jay, Manny experiences an existential crisis. Also, Mitchell and Cameron use the quake to get out of a party that is being thrown by their friend.

Episode 4: Strangers on a Treadmill (Oct/13/2010)
Claire tries to stop Phil from embarrassing himself at a realtors' banquet by giving an unfunny speech, while Mitchell tries to convince Cameron to change his wardrobe. Meanwhile, Jay and Gloria go to a quinceañera hosted by one of his employees, and Haley gives Alex advice on how to be cool.

Episode 5: Unplugged (Oct/20/2010)
In an attempt to reconnect the family, Phil and Claire challenge the family to see who can abstain from using their electronic devices the longest. Meanwhile, Mitchell and Cameron attempt to get Lilly into the best pre-school and Gloria deals with the neighbor's barking dog.

Episode 6: Halloween (Oct/27/2010)
Claire, in her love for Halloween, makes the house look spooky for the trick or treaters. She wants to give each family member a role to play, but many problems come up to prevent it. Cameron hates Halloween because of a traumatic childhood experience, Mitchell had a bad day at work, and Gloria is acting weird because Jay and Manny teased her accent.

Episode 7: Chirp (Nov/03/2010)
Claire and Haley are both stuck home sick, and begin to bond. Phil deals with a chirping smoke detector, Gloria and Manny surprise Jay at work, and Cameron takes Lily to shoot a commercial behind Mitchell's back.

Episode 8: Flash, Dash, Crash (Nov/17/2010)
It's Manny's birthday and the family is gathering at a restaurant to celebrate, though Manny himself is depressed about getting older. Phil and Claire decide to engage in a not-so-friendly car race on the way to the restaurant, and Mitch and Cam get sidetracked when they stop at the mall to pick up a gift.

Episode 9: Mother Tucker (Nov/24/2010)
Mitchell tries to tell Cameron's mother that he feels uncomfortable around her. Meanwhile, Haley, much to Claire's delight, breaks up with Dylan, but Phil still keeps in contact with him, and Jay's harmless stomach ache gets worse after Manny looks it up on the Internet.

Episode 10: Dance Dance Relevation (Dec/08/2010)
A School dance is coming up and it will be a first for Luke and Manny. But, Jay and Phil think this is a big deal and it turns into an eventful day at the mall. Claire tells Gloria she doesn't need her help with planning the dance with the parents' dance committee. Cam and Mitchell are surprised when Lily doesn't seem to be making friends on the playground.

Episode 11: Slow Down Your Neighbors (Jan/05/2011)
Claire tries to stop a neighbour who speeds around the neighbourhood, while Phil deals with a difficult client. Mitchell and Cameron meet a charming neighbour, and Jay teaches Manny how to ride a bike.

Episode 12: Our Children, Ourselves (Jan/12/2011)
Phil and Claire pressure Alex to ease back on her school work, but begin to worry about their own intellectual drives. Meanwhile, Jay is upset when Gloria tries to befriend a new couple, and Mitchell runs into an old female flame.

Episode 13: Caught in the Act (Jan/19/2011)
It's Phil and Claire's anniversary, and when the kids go to surprise them with breakfast in bed, they get a surprise of their own. Jay and Gloria's plans for a Vegas vacation are ruined because of a brutally honest email accidentally sent to Claire, and Mitchell and Cam try to get into a new restaurant owned by a mom at Lily's preschool.

Episode 14: Bixby's Back (Feb/09/2011)
Claire and Phil decide to reprise their role-playing adventure from last year's Valentine's Day. Meanwhile, Jay's surprise plans for Gloria keeps getting interrupted, and a secret admirer comes between Cameron and Mitchell.

Episode 15: Princess Party (Feb/16/2011)
Claire and Mitchell's mother comes to Lily's princess-themed birthday party with Claire's ex-boyfriend.

Episode 16: Regrets Only (Feb/23/2011)
After Phil and Claire have a huge argument, which Phil knows nothing about, Gloria councils Phil and Jay deals with Claire. Meanwhile, Cameron is working diligently on a fundraiser and enlists the help of Mitchell and Luke, and Jay buys Gloria a karaoke machine.

Episode 17: Two Monkeys and a Panda (Mar/02/2011)
Claire tries to restore order between Haley and Alex, while Phil sneaks out for a day at a spa. Meanwhile, Cameron decides to write a book.  

Episode 18: Boys' Night (Mar/23/2011)
Luke becomes friends with a curmudgeon old neighbor, which does not please Phil and Claire. Meanwhile, Gloria and Manny try to get Jay to join them at the symphony, but in an attempt to avoid the concert, he instead goes with Mitchell and Cameron on their "boys' night out", and Haley babysits for Lily.

Episode 19: The Musical Man (Apr/13/2011)
Cameron takes control of the spring musical at Luke and Manny's school, while Jay's brother pays him and visit, and Phil tries to get the family to be in his new real estate advertisement.  

Episode 20: Someone to Watch Over Lily (Apr/20/2011)
Mitchell and Cam try to pick a legal guardian for Lily should anything happen to them, thus secretly observing their family's parenting skills in the process.

Episode 21: Mother's Day (May/04/2011)
Gloria and Claire spend some quality time with their kids by taking them on a hike on Mother's Day. Meanwhile, Phil catches Jay in a moment of weakness.

Episode 22: Good Cop Bad Dog (May/11/2011)
Phil and Claire decide to switch parenting roles for a day, while Jay gives entrepreneur advice to a friend opening a dog training business, and Cameron comes down with the flu on the night of a Lady Gaga concert.

Episode 23: See You Next Fall (May/18/2011)
The family prepares for Alex's middle-school graduation, including Jay trying to conceal a cosmetic-procedure mishap, Claire is on edge and Phil antagonizes her, and Mitchell makes jokes at Cameron's expense.

Episode 24: The One That Got Away (May/25/2011)
The entire family scrambles to plan a big party for Jay's birthday, and in the process Phil runs into his college nemesis and Cam gets into trouble at a bakery.

Claire petitions the city to put a stop sign at a high traffic intersection, while Jay and Manny team up to sell wrapping paper for a school fund-raiser.

While Claire considers running for city councilwoman, Cameron and Mitchell are in a hit-and-run accident, and Gloria tries to help Manny and Jay resolve their issues.

Hanging out with Shorty and his girlfriend, Darlene, makes Gloria envious of how much those two do as a couple, so she gives Jay an ultimatum to step it up for a night of salsa dancing or else. Meanwhile, Cameron take a bet a little too far when Mitchell and Crispin challenge him to get a hot girl's number at the bar, and Phil builds a tree house for Luke, but ends up being the one to make a new friend.

Episode 8: After The Fire (Nov/16/2011)
After a neighbor's home burns down, the whole family rallies and organizes a community drive to help do some good - though it's not all good, as Jay throws out his back, Cameron does some posturing with a huge moving truck, Claire discovers that Mitchell and Gloria have been spending a lot of time together, and Luke and Manny get their hands on some of the donated toys.

Episode 9: Punkin Chunkin (Nov/23/2011)
When an old neighborhood kid returns to town as a hugely successful internet billionaire, it gets Phil thinking of what could have been. Jay feels Manny could use a little dose of constructive criticism, and Cameron is offended when Mitchell questions the authenticity of his colorful childhood stories. It all comes to a head at Thanksgiving with the family divided between the "Dreamers" and the "Pritchetts" -- and nothing settles the score like a punkin chunkin challenge.

Episode 10: Express Christmas (Dec/07/2011)
The family is gathered at Jay and Gloria's pool on a sunny December day, and that's where they realize that everyone will be scattered this coming Christmas, so if they want to celebrate together, then it will have to be today! Everyone sets off with their respective duties for Express Christmas - Mitchell, Alex and Lily get the tree, Jay and Cameron are in charge of gift wrapping, Phil and Manny get the groceries, Gloria and Luke go retrieve the ornaments, and Claire and Haley shop for all the gifts. When they all return in the evening, it's quite a sight.

Episode 11: Lifetime Supply (Jan/04/2012)
Phil awaits his impending doom after his doctor's appointment coincides with his the end of his lifetime supply of razor blades, while Jay and Javier (Benjamin Bratt) butt heads at the racetrack with Manny. Additionally, Gloria tutors Haley in Spanish, Walt (Philip Baker Hall) plays video games with Luke, and after Mitchell receives an award from his company, he and Cam engage in a trophy war.

Episode 12: Egg Drop (Jan/11/2012)
Luke and Manny's egg-capsule project triggers Claire and Jay's competitive instincts. Phil ropes Haley and Gloria into providing audience support during his work presentation, but they ditch him for mani-pedis. Elsewhere, Mitch and Cam go to great lengths to impress a potential birth mother.

Episode 13: Little Bo Bleep (Jan/18/2012)
The Dunphys coach Claire for her next debate and when it happens, things getting a little out of hand. Meanwhile, Gloria is mad that Jay coddles Stella over her, and while rehearsing for a wedding, Lily blurts out a new word that puts Cam and Mitchell on edge.

Episode 14: Me? Jealous? (Feb/08/2012)
Claire believes that Phil's business partner is inappropriate, but Phil, always being very trusting, cannot be convinced. Meanwhile, Mitchell and Cam stay with Jay and Gloria while their house is being fumigated.

Episode 15: Aunt Mommy (Feb/15/2012)
Claire and Phil plan a celebratory dinner after selling a house to Mitchell and Cam's friends, and having too much to drink leads Claire to offer something rather generous. Gloria and Jay have a spat after she accuses him of telling Manny what to do.

Episode 16: Virgin Territory (Feb/22/2012)
Jay finds out Mitchell ruined his greatest golf moment. While on the way to fix Lily's doll, Alex spills a surprising secret about Haley to Phil, leaving him heartbroken, while Gloria discovers a secret of Claire's. Cam's desperate to get everyone out of the house so he can investigate an issue and prove Claire wrong, and Luke helps Manny to impress a girl he likes

Episode 17: Leap Day (Feb/29/2012)
Mitchell tries to make Cam's birthday real special, Jay's manliness becomes questionable, and the girls mess up Phil's leap day plans.

Episode 18: Send Out The Clowns (Mar/14/2012)
Cam runs into his former clown partner and considers teaming up with him again, Phil gets into some serious real estate competition, Jay and Gloria have suspicions when Manny makes a new friend, and Claire is desperate to be accepted by Alex and Haley on Facebook.

Episode 19: Election Day (Apr/11/2012)
Claire experiences some technical difficulties during interviews, while Phil encounters problems while driving people to the voting booth. Mitch and Cam run into trouble while campaigning in town, and Jay confronts a woman from a past one-night stand. Haley awaits a college acceptance letter.

Episode 20: The Last Walt (Apr/18/2012)
Claire tries to console Luke after a friend of his dies; Alex bonds with Phil; Haley throws a party behind her parents' backs; Cameron's father comes to visit.

Episode 21: Planes, Trains & Cars (May/02/2012)
Lily loses her favorite toy on a train; Phil purchases a car without first talking it over with Claire; Jay tries to have his high-school reunion with Gloria and Manny.

Episode 22: Disneyland (May/09/2012)
During a family trip to Disneyland, Phil tries to go on a lot of big fast rides with Luke but ends up feeling a little bit green around the gills. The family runs into Haley's old boyfriend Dylan much to Claire's shock; Lily starts running a lot and Cam and Mitch try to adapt to her new penchant

Episode 23: Tableau Vivant (May/16/2012)
While ordering lunch at a local eatery, Glorida and Jay get into an argument. Claire and Cam have opposing views on how to punish children. Luke mistakenly accepts an award he doesn't really deserve.

Episode 24: Baby On Bored (May/23/2012)
Cam and Mitchell find an opportunity to adopt. Lily gets babysat by Manny and Jay. Alex goes to her first prom. Haley announces her future plans to the family, which surprises them.

Episode 1: Bringing Up Baby (Sep/26/2012)
It's Jay's birthday and he doesn't want any surprises. Phil decides to take Jay fishing with some of his friends, and Gloria doesn't know how to tell Jay that she's pregnant. Meanwhile, Dylan becomes a temporary member of the Dunphy family by moving in, and Mitch and Cam adopt a cat.

Claire and Phil embarrass Haley when they drop her off at college; Manny makes Gloria and Jay take a class; Lily gets into a tussle on her first day of kindergarten.

Episode 3: Snip (Oct/10/2012)
Phil gets a vasectomy; Gloria and Jay can't agree on whether or not they should find out the sex of the baby; Mitchell tries to steer Cameron toward getting a part-time job.

Episode 4: The Butler's Escape (Oct/17/2012)
Phil can't accept that Luke wants to quit magic; Gloria's snoring keeps Jay and Manny awake; Mitch and Cam struggle to deal with their reversed role.

Episode 5: Open House Of Horrors (Oct/24/2012)
Claire has overdone it in Halloweens past and the neighbors definitely don't share her enthusiasm, so this year she's being forced to tone it down and keep it "kid-friendly," and Phil has an idea to hold an open house on Halloween night. Meanwhile, Mitch and Cam host a costume party while contending with Lily wondering who her real mom is, and Gloria's pregnancy hormones are on overdrive, making her even more hotheaded than usual.

Episode 6: Yard Sale (Oct/31/2012)
Jay and Gloria hold a yard sale to help Manny and Luke with their school's charity fundraiser, and the entire family pitches in: Phil feels pressured to both sell and buy something, Mitch and Cam help Claire assess Alex's new 'boy friend,' and Manny finds an old trunk that hides a secret Gloria wants to see remain a secret.

Episode 7: Arrested (Nov/07/2012)
Phil and Claire get the dreaded late night call that Haley has been arrested for under-aged drinking, so they bring Mitchell, the family lawyer, in tow to the police station. Cameron stays back to watch over Alex and Luke, but they get into some crazy mishaps under his care. Meanwhile, Jay gets out of baby shopping with Gloria, but ends up having to deal with a surprise visit from Dede, and tries to scoot her out before Gloria gets home to prevent Dede from seeing that she's pregnant and to avoid the potential blowback.

Episode 8: Mistery Date (Nov/14/2012)
When Claire takes Manny and Luke along to Alex's academic decathlon for the weekend, Phil attempts to throw together a boys' night at the house, inviting a fellow Bulldog alum (guest star Matthew Broderick) he just met -- but their wires are definitely crossed. Meanwhile, the pressure is on for Alex at the decathlon, Manny and Luke bar mitzvah hop at the hotel trying to find a cute girl, and Cam and Mitch arrange for quite the surprise baby gift for Jay and

Episode 10: Diamond In The Rough (Dec/12/2012)
Manny and Luke's little league team unexpectedly makes it into a playoff game, so Claire and Cameron scramble to find a location and decide to do a makeover on a rundown field. Inspired, Claire and Cam want to try their hand at flipping a house while they're at it, and Phil and Mitchell fight over who will be the bad guy to tell them no. Meanwhile, Gloria tries a bonding technique by using a microphone to sing to the baby in utero, which definitely incites a reaction from Jay.

Jay is so excited, having planned for the whole family to celebrate New Year's together at this great hotel in Palm Springs. However, when the hotel turns out to be less than stellar, everyone starts to branch off to do their own thing, leaving Jay dejected -- that is until he runs into the one and only Billy Dee Williams! Mitchell offers to take baby Joe for a while, and Cameron seizes the opportunity to use him in one of his elaborate photo shoots. However, a wig malfunction leads to unfortunate results and no one wants to be the one to face Gloria.

Mitch and Cam's best gal pal, Sal, makes one of her notorious surprise drop-ins, but this time with big news - she's getting married... tomorrow! Cam and Mitch are the best men, but they can't help but question whether this party girl can really settle down, and they consider an intervention. Meanwhile, Gloria has trust issues with their new nanny, Claire has a rare bonding moment with Haley, and Phil helps Luke with a girl he likes.

Episode 18: The Wow Factor (Mar/27/2013)
Claire and Cam are entrenched in the house flip, but when they hit an impasse on a big landscaping decision, a "neutral" third party is brought in - Pam (guest star Wendi McLendon-Covey), the lesbian mom from Lily's school. Episode 23: Games People Play (May/15/2013)
Phil gets a brand new RV with high hopes of going on a fun family road trip, and Claire decides to let him learn the hard way why this will likely be a terrible idea. Meanwhile, Manny has misplaced his backpack and Jay and Gloria go with him on a hunt for it, breaking into Claire's house and then into Mitchell's house -- where they do some over-the-top snooping; and Lily's gymnastics meet brings out an unrivaled competitive spirit in Mitch and Cam.

Episode 24: Goodnight Gracie (May/22/2013)
Everyone flies down to Florida to be with Phil after his mom's passing. Claire helps Phil with Gracie's last wish for Frank, and the kids reflect on the gifts grandma left for them. Gloria has to contend with an outstanding arrest warrant in Florida, Cam finds himself fitting right into an elderly women's group at Frank's retirement community, and Jay runs into a pivotal person from his past.

The family attends the annual school fair and Phil has a big 20th wedding anniversary surprise planned for Claire at the fairgrounds, but unfortunately, she simultaneously has a surprise for him back at home. Gloria signs Jay up to be a fair cop for the day and it gets worse when he's partnered up with his nemesis. Elsewhere, Mitch, Cam and Lily try to enjoy the fair but Cam is in a funk from the football team's recent losing streak, and Haley has an awkward first encounter with Andy.

Episode 8: ClosetCon '13 (Nov/20/2013)
With some urging from Claire, Jay begrudgingly agrees to return to ClosetCon this year, and things get interesting when Jay is reunited with some old colleagues. Cam takes Mitch and Lily to the Tucker family farm for the first time and is excited to fold them into country life, that is until Grams pays an unexpected visit. And back at home, Phil, Gloria and the kids get into some mischief involving Jay's very delicate Apollo 13 spacecraft model.

Episode 9: The Big Game (Dec/04/2013)
With a big football game coming up and a record to break, Coach Cam is intensely focused and showing no mercy even when the opposing team is playing with an unexpected disadvantage. Elsewhere, Claire is determined to prove to the staff that she is more than just the boss's daughter, and Phil tries to teach his kids a lesson about optimism, but the universe just isn't cooperating.

Episode 10: The Old Man & the Tree (Dec/11/2013)

Episode 13: Three Dinners (Jan/22/2014)
Phil and Claire take Haley out to dinner to discuss her future, but Haley manages to turn the tables. Elsewhere, Jay's friend Shorty and wife Darlene are back visiting, and they have some news that doesn't sit well with Jay. And, Cam secretly uses Mitch as a scapegoat to get out of attending a party, while Haley tries to keep her photography exhibit a secret from her family.

Episode 15: The Feud (Feb/26/2014)
Phil's nemesis Gil Thorpe has stolen his elected office, what's more Luke is going head to head with her son in a wrestling match, so Phil is determined to do anything to help his son win. Claire helps Mitch and Cam out by picking Lily up from school, however she has lice and Claire has a business meeting that she has to get to. Manny's class takes a field trip to the museum and Gloria acts as a chaperone.

Episode 16: Spring-A-Ding-Fling (Mar/05/2014)
Cameron is in charge of the school's big spring dance, but when a popular teacher returns from sabbatical, a bit of not-so-friendly competition blooms. And with Claire on chaperone duty at the dance, Phil gets Haley to accompany him to his annual realtor's banquet and is looking forward to impressing his little girl. Elsewhere, Mitch starts a new job and can't seem to get a good read on the new boss or the work environment.
